PLEDGES ARE DUE 10/25- so keep collecting!
On Thursday October17th, the Boosters Club is sponsoring our annual J.X. Wilson “Wizard Bubble Walk/Color Run.” Our goal this year is $10,000. If each student collects just $30.00 the goal will be met! THIS IS OUR BIGGEST FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR AND A GREAT TIME FOR EVERYONE!
HOW IT WORKS:

Students get pledges from sponsors (friends & family), and record them on their sponsor form attached to the envelope that will be sent home next week! (Some people like to donate a flat amount, others like to pay for each lap walked.) The sponsor forms need to be brought back to school on Thursday October 17th so students can record their actual laps walked.
- On Thursday, October 17th, all of the students TK- 3rd will walk the blacktop with bubbles all around, while 4-6th will walk the track while getting colored powder thrown at them- they should wear white so the color really shows! Their teachers will tally how many laps each student completes, and they can record this number on their sponsor forms.
- Then the students will take home their sponsor forms, with the number of laps they completed, collect the pledges from their sponsors, and return their donations back to school by Friday October 25th.

Why do we care about the Bubble Walk/Color
Run?The Bubble Walk/Color Run is the biggest annual
fundraiser for our Booster Club. The Boosters use
this money to support all of our students and
teachers. Each teacher is given an allotment to
spend for classroom supplies, art materials,
science materials. Because of this allotment,
students at JX do not have to purchase long lists of
school supplies that children in other schools do.
Teachers purchase many of those things with
their Booster money. The cost of a school bus for
a field trip is surprisingly expensive! Those costs
are paid out of Booster funds, providing our
students with field trip opportunities. The
Booster Club has helped pay for uniforms for our
after school sports teams, as well as costs
associated with team sports. Over the years, the
Boosters have helped to fund our playground
equipment and benches around the school. Our
Boosters are always here to help. This is our
chance to work together as a team to help raise
the funds needed to continue this work next year.
